Do I need to make an appointment?

We always recommend making an appointment to ensure a member of the Kevin Paul team is available should you require assistance. You’re more than welcome to pop into the showroom, however without an appointment we can’t always guarantee you’ll be able to try anything on or obtain a quote.

When should I book suits for my wedding?

It is never too early to book your wedding suits. Once you have an idea of colour schemes and a date set you should start looking for suits, obtaining quotes and if you’re happy put a deposit down to secure suits for your date. Initially we recommend bride and groom come alone to get an idea of what you’d like the men to wear on your big day. However we can dress up to 2 adults at an initial no-obligation viewing. Once your suits are booked the price quoted is held regardless of the date of your wedding.

Do you require a booking fee?

Yes, if you’d like to secure suits for your wedding date we require a £50 refundable security deposit. This doesn’t come off your final balance however it is returned to you on return of the suits after your wedding date. This is a one-off payment to secure the whole party and is not charged per outfit booked.

What’s included in your hire package?

We offer a complete suit hire package that has everything you need for your big day. Included: 3-piece suit with choice of waistcoat from our range, shirt, choice of neckwear, cufflinks, dress shoes and insurance. If you’d prefer to buy your accessories we do also sell them.

Do you hire children’s suits?

Yes, anything we can hire for men can also be hired in boy’s sizes. We measure all boys’ suits in inches but as an estimate our sizes start from 2 years old.

Who usually hires suits for a wedding?

Generally those that wear suits for the wedding day are: Groom, Bestman, Ushers, Groomsmen, Father of the Bride and Father of the groom. Occasionally the Bride and Grooms brothers will also wear a matching suit. However this is personal preference and there is no right or wrong amount of suits for your wedding day.

When are final fittings?

Here at Kevin Paul all our stock is our own and is held on the premises. This means we must do final fittings around 4 months prior to your wedding date to ensure we have all stock required. If we don’t have the stock required this gives us time to get anything made. All the men in the party will get to try on what they will wear on the wedding day.

In regards to boy’s fittings we do these around 2-4 weeks before the wedding date due to them still growing.

When do we pay for our suits?

We require full payment at the final fitting around 4 months prior to your wedding date. You will be sent a confirmation account in the post just before your fitting and this will list all goods hired/purchased and any balance due.

What if I gain/lose weight after my final fitting?

If we are aware you are trying to gain/lose weight we can have you covered a size up/down and we will then arrange for a re-fit closer to the wedding date. Sometimes a change in weight is not planned, under these circumstance we will arrange a re-fit and do our upmost to provide you with the amended sizes.

When do I collect the suits?

We always aim to have your suits ready to collect from 4pm 3 days before your wedding. For example if your wedding is on a Saturday they will be ready to collect from 4pm on the Wednesday prior to your wedding. If your suits are ready any earlier than expected we will always contact you to let you know.

When do I return the suits?

We require the suits back 2 days after your wedding. On this day they must be back by 11am. For example if your wedding is on a Saturday the suits will be due back by 11am on the Monday morning. This is unless your wedding falls on a bank holiday weekend as we are closed on bank holiday Mondays.

What is the biggest size you go up to?

The majority of our ranges go up to a 60” chest in jackets and waistcoats, 58” waist on trousers, 23” shirt collar and a size 14 in shoes.

However we do also offer made to order suits and so if a bigger size is required we can provide you with a no-obligation quote for this service.

Can we take the suits abroad to get married?

Yes not a problem at all, we offer an extended hire period for any of our suits and the charges are as follows:

7-14 days = 1.5 x Hire

15-21 days = 2 x Hire

22-28 days = 2.5 x Hire

29-35 days = 3 x Hire

One of my groomsmen doesn’t live local/lives abroad can you still provide a suit?

Yes this can still be arranged. We can provide a ‘Self-Measurement Form’ (which can also be found on the information section of our website) that the groomsman can fill out either by visiting a tailor local to himself or asking someone to measure him based on the instructions provided. Once we receive the measurements we will check over them and make sure there are no discrepancies. The suit will then be ready to collect with the other suits. If the groomsmen is in the area a few days before the wedding we can also arrange a fitting much closer to the date to check over any measurements provided.

I’d like to purchase my wedding suit, is this possible?

Yes, we provide a full ‘Made to Order’ service where you can have your suit made to your requirements. We have a vast range of cloths to choose from and suit styles can be selected based on your preferences. Once this has been selected you can choose from any linings and piping’s for inside the jacket and your buttons to finish it off. These suits usually take between 8-12 weeks to be made so we recommend coming in for your fitting 4 months before your required date of wear. Prices start from £395 for this service and includes all fittings and alterations. Please see the ‘Made to Order’ page of our website for more information.

I want to match my bridesmaid dresses to the men’s neckwear is this possible?

We offer a full colour match service in store. Once you’ve booked your suits and have got your dresses you’re more than welcome to bring them into the showroom and we will match this up to the men’s neckwear. We have over 180 colours of neckwear to choose from and are always adding to our range so we’re confident you’ll be happy with the match we can achieve. Alternatively if you’re selecting the groomsmen’s suits first and are then shopping for bridesmaid’s dresses we can loan you a swatch to take with you.

I need a tuxedo/suit for tonight can this be done?

Because all our stock is our own we have full control over stock levels, we would suggest you come into the showroom at your earliest convenience so we can check availability for you. As long as we have availability we can get suits ready for you on a same day basis. Once you’ve been fitted at Kevin Paul we can keep your measurements on file for 12 months so if you require a repeat order at short notice we can do this for you without requiring you to come in for a fitting.
